Disclosure

As a registered dietitian, I value complete transparency and ethics in any writing that I do. This blog was set up to share compassionate and evidence-based nutritional information and lifestyle pieces.

I am registered with the HCPC (our professional regulatory body in the UK) and a member of the BDA (professional body and trade union).

  • All information featured on this blog is for general informational purposes only and should not be used as a substitute for individualised medical / dietetic advice.

I have signed up to RDs4Disclosure UK and have pledged to blog with integrity. This means that I am bound by an ethical code of conduct and will not provide false or misleading information.

All opinions on this blog and referred to on my social media are 100% honest and my own. As such I will disclose any professional or financial relationships that could appear to influence the content of a blog post. Any sponsorships or other forms of compensation will be clearly marked and will never influence the content, topic or posts on this site. I would only accept compensation from companies I believe in, would already buy from or recommend myself. These disclosures would appear at the end of each relevant post. In particular this could include:

  • Product Reviews: All product reviews on this website are 100% my own opinion. I will always state whether I purchased it myself, received the product for free to review or received any form of compensation. I would never recommend a product that does not align with my personal and professional beliefs.
  • Affiliate Links – I am a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to www.amazon.co.uk. Purchases made by clicking on affiliate links within posts result in me receiving a small commission at no extra cost to yourself. This helps contribute towards the maintenance of this site and keeps the content free for you and free from ads. I will clearly indicate where any affiliate links are included.

When other dietitian’s / healthcare professional’s opinions are sought, I will give them credit and link back to their sites.

As the field of nutrition and dietetics is constantly changing any information contained in older posts may not be completely up to date, although I will try my best to keep them updated. Individual nutrition advice should always be obtained from a qualified dietitian.

This disclosure policy is correct as of September 2018.
